In der Rotunde des Malkasten befinden sich zwei identische Quader aus Gipskartonplatten: beide sind 250 cm lang, 125 cm breit, 65 cm hoch, und schweben mit einem 13 cm hohen Absprung über dem Boden.

Die Höhe der Quader resultiert aus der maximalen Deckenlast, die hier bei 550 Kilogramm pro Quadratmeter liegt. Auf beiden Ebenen ruhen somit jeweils fünf Tonnen, die Traglast ist ausgereizt. Die hierfür benötigte Menge Gipskarton wird für die Dauer der Ausstellung von einem ortsnahen Baustoffgroßhandel angeliefert und am Ende der Ausstellung wieder in den Warenzyklus integriert. 

Beide Volumina sind in exakt gleicher Ausrichtung zueinander auf zwei Ebenen verteilt. Beim ersten flüchtigen Hinsehen könnten sie auf Umbaumaßnahmen in naher Zukunft verweisen.

In the rotunda of the Malkasten there are two identical cuboids made of plasterboard: both are 250 cm long, 125 cm wide, 65 cm high, and float above the ground with a 13 cm high jump.

The height of the cuboids results from the maximum ceiling load, which here is 550 kilograms per square meter. This means that five tons rest on each of the two levels, the load capacity is exhausted. The amount of plasterboard required for this is delivered for the duration of the exhibition by a local building materials wholesaler and is reintegrated into the goods cycle at the end of the exhibition. 

Both volumes are distributed on two levels in exactly the same orientation to each other. At first glance, they could indicate that the building will be renovated in the near future.
